Yes, we FINALLY saw the movie last night!!!!!I loved the movie even though they had to tweak it to fit the whole story into 2 hours. I only have 2 complaints...
1- What was with Edwards eyebrows?!?!? They were WAY, WAY to dark and bushy. He could have looked so much cuter with a lighter color and some tweezing.
2- Did you ever see Edward Scissorhands? Do you remember the wide eyed look he had on his face the entire movie, kind of like he had a stick up his butt? Well that is how Jasper looked through this entire movie. In fact dye his har black and he looked just like Johnny Depp. It was creepy and funny at the same time.
Well, that is all I'm going to say about the movie because I don't want to spoil it for those of you who have not seen it yet.
I gave it 5 stars!!!!!
I do however want to tell you how much fun I had with my girls last night. I am entering a new phase in my life. My girls are growing up :(
Both Sam and Kenzy have read the books, but Maddi is still a bit young for them, but we couldn't leave her out and she wanted to go. So I decided yesterday that if my girls got their rooms done (miracle of miracles they did!) we would try to go see it. I decided it would be fun to go see the late showing, so after getting the "boys" to bed husband included at 9:30pm, we were off!
My girls were soooooo excited that not only we were going, but it was so late. I found myself getting giddy with them in anticipation. We got there and got our popcorn and drinks and headed into the theatre.
We were early so we sat there wondering out loud how they were going to portray certain things from the book. By the time the credits started we all were barely able to stay in our seat we were so excited.
The movie started and every now and then Sam would look over with this sparkle in her eyes and a smile on her face. I wish I could have taken a picture of such bliss. I sat by Kenzy and she grabbed my hand every now and then and I grabbed hers as well, when a good part was coming up.
When the movie was over it was after midnight and we were all so excited we couldn't stop talking. We talked nonstop in the car ride home and stayed up for a little bit talking then fell into bed exhausted!
My girls are growing up. I miss them being little, but after last night I am looking forward to the next few years of ups and downs with them.
How grateful I am for my beautiful girls!
