Fried!!!

Now I will be the first to admit, I am a flipflopper.

My styles change on a whim it seems...

But there are only a few things I will love forever...

My hubby, kids and family first of all...

My car (suburban) yes its a gas guzzler but I LOVE it!

I've had it less than 2 months...

I absolutely LOVE it...

I don't know how I have lived without it...

Well now I do...

It got wet over the weekend...

The screen is fried...

It had Sam's 16th b-day pics on it...

I spent hours loading phone #'s, addresses, b-days...you name it!!

I am lost without it...

So if any of you have been trying to get a hold of me I hear you, but my touch screen doesn't work. I am not ignoring you, just call me at home.

...and yes I do have insurance on it, but Verizon does not transfer info to new phones!!!!!

I miss the old days where we wrote everything down...

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat...

As many of you know my oldest daughter Sam turned 16 last month.

Well we are finally having her "Sweet Sixteen" party this weekend.

The theme is this...



We have been scouring ALL the thrift stores and garage sales for 3 months now looking for tea cups, saucers and tea pots.

We are turning the back yard into a tea party even Johnny Depp would feel at home at.

I will be taking LOTS of pictures and will post them next week.

35 kids are invited and hopefully this will be a party to remember for her.

After all you only turn 16 once.

Lazy Holidays...

I love lazy holidays...

Snuggling in bed with all the kids which turns into kids wrestling with dad and then becomes tickle fights...

All followed with bacon and eggs breakfast while watching cartoons.

But then reality hits and we are off to work on the garage/room conversion.

Tile...

This is what I have been doing the past week.

Tiling this pattern in my bathroom and eventually in the entire entry, kitchen, and family room.

I am using 18x18 tiles with glass mosaics in corners.

My finger tips are cut up, my hands are dry and my back hurts from pulling out the toilet!

But boy will it look pretty!!!

Like I said lots of changes going on around here...

Excused Absence???

So last year I was informed by the attendance clerk that "Personal days" are not excused absences. I find that ridiculous because I am the mom and if I excuse my kids from school for anything it should be considered excused with their records...NOT!!!

So this year I have figured out the system that is "Public School" and will just say that my kids will have appointments from now on.

Now in my personal life my reason for being absent from this blog is I needed some "personal days".

Does that count?? Will you excuse me from being absent? When I come back will I still be allowed to blog??

I hope so, I miss this outlet.

There are some BIG BIG changes happening here at the Heisel's and heaven help me to survive.
