Hello Dolly...

The original "Dolly Levi" Carol Channing is visiting my daughter's school today.

She is a adamant supporter of schools for the arts, and since our school is one of them she will be giving 2 assemblies today.

I actually didn't think much of it when I first heard she was coming...but now I'm actually a little star struck.

I never did see her in "Hello Dolly", but I LOVED her in "Thoroughly Modern Millie"

I highly recommend this movie it is sooooooo funny! Be warned it is a musical.

If anyone finds this movie...LMK I WANT it!!!!!

Well, me and my autograph book are off lol...wish me luck!!!!

Vegas AGAIN...

Yes, my hubby left for Vegas again this morning. He spent all last week in Houston and now he will be in Vegas until Friday.

Normally I'm fine with this, because we kind of make it a little vaca for me and the kiddos. We order pizza, watch chick flicks and relax.

But not so this time...Kenzy has a big math project due, and because we are going on our annual Memorial Day camping trip I am the lucky one who get to get EVERYTHING ready for this by myself.

Dave is also supposed to go to our wards Father and sons camp out on
Friday night, so who gets to get all that stuff together as well...ME!!!!!!

He promises that he will be home in time to take his boys, and I have no doubt he will but I do have doubts that I will not pack the right things and hear about it ALL WEEKEND!!!!!

The only consolation for me is that the Father and sons camp out happens to be in the same place we will be camping for the rest of the weekend, so Dave will have the campsite already set up and I won't have to do anything when we get there on Sat :)

Yeah right...

Don't mind me I'm just cranky.

On the bright side I got "Bridal Wars" and "Lakeview Terrace" from Redbox...looks like it's movie night for me!!!!!!!!

Random thoughts from a tired Primary President...

*I thought Sunday was a day of rest...

*How can teachers just leave their class hanging???

*I hate church at 1:00 (there I said it the H word)

*I LOVE MY PRESIDENCY!!!!! Their unwavering support leaves me speechless.

*I know the meetings are needed but having 2 meetings now that my hubby and myself have to be at every Sunday morning from 10-12 makes it really hard on me with getting the kids ready and be back on time.

*Sometimes I don't feel supported by teachers/leaders

*Will my scouting positions EVER be filled fully with people who want to be there?????

I'm tired, I think I'll go to bed...

Happy late Birthday Toad!!!!!

My "Toad" Benjamin Phillip turned 3 last Friday!!!!!

Here are some things I have learned from this bundle of energy:

* Life is too short to worry about having a "Model Home", love and play them while they still let you.

* Dirt is sometimes therapeutic and will not kill you if you eat it, but changing the diaper afterwords...that's a whole different story.

* Super glue works well at closing small head gashes.

* Even stinky boys have juicy armpits..

* A kiss on an owie is the best medicine.

*
Never underestimate this guy, he knows exactly what you are saying.

* Someday he WILL talk and be potty trained, hopefully by kindergarten. We're keeping our fingers crossed. :)

* Fruit Loops, Captain Crunch with Crunch Berries, Trix, and Fuity Pebbles cereal makes for interesting diaper changing...your poops are green for days.

My little Boo bola, I hope you had a great day. We love you and even though you were a surprise...you fit in perfectly!!!!!!

I love you, and happy birthday!!!!!!

Practical Jokes...

Practical Jokes...how far is too far?

A joke was played on myself and my hubby this week and it went a little too far for me.

It brought out insecurities in me that I didn't even know existed.

I won't go into details, but all I will say is that paybacks are a B****!!!!!!!!

Anybody have jokes played on you that went too far???

How did you handle it??

Happy Birthday Maddi!!!!!

Happy 9th Birthday Madeline!!!

I can't believe she is that old already!!!

When Maddi was born she weighed 5 lbs 4 oz. She fit right in the crook of my arm. Her head was the size of my fist and she looked Chinese with a full head of dark brown almost black hair. I wish that I had the scanner hooked up to this computer so I could post her baby picks. Someday I will have the perfect set up.

She is 9 today and finally fits in a size 6x. She still fits in 4t and 5t but the length is too short. Technically she still needs to be in a car seat because she weighs about 35-40 pounds.

She is our "Little Maddi Sue Hoo" (kind of like Cindy Lou Hoo from the Grinch)

Maddi is our little cheerleader. She has so much energy and enthusiasm for life. She wakes up happy and most of the time goes to bed happy. She is always there to help and tells pretty good jokes. I love her smile and her hair, she has the thickest, healthiest hair ever.

Maddi, I hope your day is fun and that you get what you wanted...(better yet I hope I got/remembered what she wanted)

We love you and our family would not be complete without you.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!
